2016 Building Trends In Wagga

Montego 287 Mountain FacadeIf you’ve been in the building industry long enough and you know the local area, you can almost tell what year a house was built based on the design trends that appear throughout.

We had a chat with Toby Harris from Stroud Homes Wagga Wagga about what building trends he noticed throughout 2016.

“We’ve found acreage homes, particularly the Montego range, to be a massive seller. Combining old trends with new and contemporary designs has been a hit,” he says.

“Open plans have been a huge hit too, which is fantastic as quite a lot of our designs are very open and practical.”

Space definitely seems to have been the major trend for 2016.

“Building out of town in places like Coolamon, Tumut and Gundagai has been popular. Stroud has a large presence in Lloyd and Bourkelands as well, but building on 5 to 100 acres just out of town has been really popular.”

The other noticeable trend over the past year has been the amazing eye for detail many new home buyers have. With Stroud Homes’ quality guarantees, and our long list of standard inclusions, that eye for detail will have plenty to look at.
