2019 in Review – Stroud Homes Brisbane South Residential
2019 was a big year for the team at Stroud Homes Brisbane South Residential, building custom dream homes for families while providing them with a fun, rewarding and enjoyable building experience – from slab pour to handover.
It was also a very rewarding year with Stroud Homes Brisbane & QLD voted Top Rated Home Builder, receiving five-star reviews by their many clients.
The team also brought home first price at the HIA awards nigh for best Project Home of the Year – Kentucky 348 Classic, for the third consecutive year.
With several new estates popping up in around the Brisbane south area, the popular home builder is now gearing up for what can become an even bigger year in 2020.
As we move in to the new decade, we ask Salesperson Tristan Churchward to review the year behind the team, and to let us know what’s planned for the year to come.
At Stroud Homes there are exciting times ahead with some great building trends in 2020, in particular the beautiful hamptons look, the popular mountain façade and knock-down rebuilds.
Tristan tells us the most popular façade this year was the all new Hamptons façade, which is defined by casual, relaxed beach style living but done in a classic and very sophisticated way.
The Hamptons was also a popular style for internal inclusions and upgrades.
The most built home design was the Bronte 227 Mountain facade, which is also the design of the Flagstone Display Home.
It’s easy to see why the design has worked so well for so many as it’s the pinnacle of luxury, with an open plan kitchen and a dining and living area made for entertaining.

The overall biggest trend of the year however was Knock down-rebuilds (KDRs).
“Lots of people acquire excellent blocks of land in good locations, and being able to knock down the old, low quality house instead of renovating, which is more expensive, has been proven the smarter, more profitable way of building a dream home,” says Tristan
“This trend really took off in 2019 and at Stroud Homes Brisbane South we can handle both the knock down and the rebuild for you in the same contract.”
Get in contact with Tristan if you’d like to know more about KDR’s in Brisbane’s south.
Previously know as an acreage specialist, Jimboomba flagstone region is quickly becoming a popular option for many people, according to Tristan.
With the addition of Flagstone Rise, Pebble Creek Estate and other new developments popping up around the area, a lot of people are finding these estates more and more attractive.
“There are also lots of infrastructure and new jobs available in the area,” adds Tristan. “And with Flagstone set to be the next satellite city, a lot of people are recognising these benefits and are jumping on board.”

When asked what the team at Stroud Homes Brisbane South looks forward to the most in 2020, Tristan says “building more family homes.”
He says that being able to make the process of building a smooth journey, and to deliver a great product with an awesome experience, will be on the forefront of the company in the new year.
“It’s exciting to build custom homes for families, and to suit exactly what their current needs are as well as their future need as the family grows, or shrinks.”
“We’re not just another builder who builds the same old standard home every time. We give the client options to customise to suit them,”
“It makes every build personalised and it makes every build something different.”
