David Kirby Stroud Homes Melbourne North

Looking Back & Looking Forward

Stroud Homes Melbourne North builder and owner David Kirby has been building in Melbourne’s northern suburbs for over 15 years and brings with him a broad range of experience in the building game.

We tuned in with David to see what the new year has in store for the building business operating in one of the largest growth corridors in Melbourne, and what he took away from 2018.

What was the highlight for your franchise in 2018?

For Melbourne North, as a team, we have been very happy with the progression of our local area presence and the local area’s recognition of our efforts and building quality homes for our clients now, and into the future.

If you had to describe 2018 in three words, what would they be?

What was the biggest hurdle you or your business overcame in 2018?

Our biggest hurdle, with being a new business, is always finding your place in a vast market and meeting the needs of our varied range of clients.

On a whole, we’re very happy that we have been able to assist so many clients in the short time that the store has been operating.

Did you notice any building trends in your region over the year?

David told us about a few…

Acreage Home Designs:

Stroud Homes offers a large range of acreage styles to suit a wide variety of land types and take full advantage of stunning ranges and country views in the surrounding area.

We take great pride and pleasure in assisting to secure that dream home and priceless view.

Mountain and Alpine Façade Options:

Mountain and Alpine Façade styles featuring unique cultured stone, cladding and render elements making the home ooze a gorgeous street appeal and unique style.

Hamptons Style:

Hamptons style is defined by casual, relaxed beach living but done in a classic and very sophisticated way.

The colour palette is always neutral, with whites, creams, linen tones, greys and blues the main colours used to achieve the look. Putting blue and white together always gives a coastal feel.

We love Hamptons so much Stroud Homes has released a range of Hamptons Facades.

What are you most looking forward to in 2019?

As with all our valued clients and constructions we will now have a range of homes being built of all shapes, styles and unique personal needs.

At Melbourne North we look forward to starting the year fresh and seeing what new design trends will be featured.

Good luck in the new year to the entire team of Stroud Homes Melbourne North!
