A Year In Review For Brisbane South

A Year In Review For Brisbane South

We asked Thomas Eldridge from Stroud Homes South Brisbane to reflect back on their year and fill us in on the trends occurring in their region.

Thomas said high on Brisbane South’s priority list this year was improving their customer satisfaction and customer relations. “We made a real effort this year and we’ve had lots of success,” he says.

Thomas believes that they have a very strong team at the moment which is helping drive them to succeed.

Mountain Façade

“We had lots of happy handovers with many new families getting into their homes this year,” says Thomas. One particularly strong trend they’ve seen this year is people choosing their mountain façade.

The mountain façade is probably the most individual façade in the Stroud Homes range and combines timber with stone work to create a remarkable first impression.

“It gives a really nice impression from the street when you’re driving past. You can tell it’s a home that Stroud built.” Thomas continues, “We really enjoy building those homes and you can tell the trades that built it have taken a lot of pride in it.”

Attached Granny Flats

Another trend the team at Stroud Homes Brisbane South found this year was many families choosing to include attached granny flats in their plans. “We’re finding more and more people are moving in with their parents or bringing in children that haven’t moved out of home yet,” Thomas says.

Stroud Homes attached granny flats are designed so that they integrate well with the overall home but allow a little more privacy for their occupants. These self-contained living spaces are designed using the same quality and level of experience as you see throughout the main home.

New Display Home

In 2018, the Stroud Homes Brisbane South team will split the business in two so that one side focuses on acreage and the other on residential.

After having so much success building the acreage side of the business, Thomas says, “We’re trying to grow our residential market and our new residential display home will help.”

Their new display home is to be built at the 30 year master planned community at Flagstone. Thomas says, “The new display home in Flagstone that will be opening in February will suit smaller block sizes and showcase our residential property range.”
