An Extensive Range of Build Options
When building with Stroud Homes Canberra, you’re not only guaranteed your dream home completed in time, you’re also offered many ways to customise your new home to suit your lifestyle, tastes, and your block.
You will be spoiled for choice when it comes to making your home unique, with endless possibilities to customise anything from floor tiles to garage add-ons.
We speak to Canberra builder VJ Tran to find out more…
“Split-level customisation and increasing from the standard ceiling height too, for example, a 2.7m high ceiling has been a couple of popular build options that our clients have opted for,” says VJ.
“These two, in particular, can make a big difference in the sense of spaciousness in a room or home.”
Stroud Homes Canberra’s extensive range of build options includes, but is by no means limited to, choices such as:
Modifying one of our standard design plans (or start from scratch with a custom design) to a split-level design to accommodate the slope of your block.
If your block contains a slope, you might want to modify the design plan of your home. Occasionally, a combination of retaining walls and split-level design enables homeowners to work with blocks with a greater slope.
One of the advantages with split-level home designs is that Stroud Homes Canberra is able to accommodate for the slope in a block within the home design itself, which perhaps would allow the homeowner to avoid retaining walls for flatter garden space.
With the assistance our professional Design Consultant, you’ll get to spend a couple of hours in our selection studio mixing and matching to create a colour scheme that feels just right for you.
A great way to extend entertaining to the outdoors. Outdoor kitchens are a great way to create and provide additional entertainment space and can be accommodated for in many of Stroud Homes Canberra’s designs.
Each family has different vehicle storage, space requirements and hobbies so at Stroud Homes we’ve packaged together a range of add-on options for your garage.
Increasing from the standard ceiling height too, for example, a 2.7m high ceiling option is available to create a greater sense of space. This can make a big difference in the sense of spaciousness in a room or home.
First-impressions are a way to personalise the look of your new home and add style and substance that suits your tastes.
A common issue for many homeowners is their wardrobe space, or more precisely, the lack of it. Personalise your wardrobe design and layout to suit your storage needs with our range of options available.
“Our wardrobe options are a great way to get organised – just like Marie Kondo,” says Vj.
“Customise according to your requirements, and mix and match with options such as open shelves, drawers, and hanging rails.”
Ideally, to save time and added costs, build options are best discussed early in the design process and prior to full-working drawings being finalised, Vj tells us.
However, depending on the build option being requested and the stage of the build, there is some flexibility and options can still be considered later on in the process which is not uncommon.
Vj encourages everyone to speak to the Canberra team about your preferences during the design process to discuss your requirements and options.
