Stroud Homes Sunshine Coast: Building Confidence
Daniel Chapman, owner of Stroud Homes Sunshine Coast, has grown up and lived in a number of areas around the Sunshine Coast region, and is personally familiar with their geographic subtleties. He has both lived and worked in Noosa, Caloundra, Buderim and Maroochydore – and there are very few people who can say the same.
Dan says, clients come to him with specific building projects because of his local experience. “That’s a huge advantage to me and my clients,” Dan says. “I know the areas very well, I know the conditions affecting them, I know the councils and this makes me confident to build anywhere on the Sunshine Coast.”
Prior to joining the Stroud Homes team Dan company worked on a wide variety of projects from simple home renovations to home building projects valued up to $1 million. As Stroud Homes Sunshine Coast, they specialise in 200 square metre family homes, but they also have experience building 450 square metre family homes.
A major factor that sets Stroud Homes apart from other home builders on the Sunshine Coast is their family-oriented business model. Coming from a large, close-knit family himself, Dan says he is committed to making sure the families that they are building for are getting a product they will be happy with.
“I tell all my clients if we get to the end of a build and they’re not happy, then I’m not happy,” he explains. “That means I haven’t done my job properly. And that’s the difference – we really care about that part of it. For a lot of builders, especially project home builders, that doesn’t even come into play. It’s not even a factor in their business model. Our business model is based all around it.”
“Customer satisfaction is the priority,” he adds. “That’s another reason being a part of the Stroud Homes team was such a good fit. It’s something Stroud Homes cares about deeply.”
That customer-centric approach continues to pay off for Stroud Home Sunshine Coast. Recently, Dan recalls visiting a family that had signed with him after going to three or four builders previously. When Dan sat down with them, the parents were there, the daughter was there, and grandparents were there too. The home they wanted built was going to be their family home where they would all live, so it was an emotional project for them.
“They said, ‘You’re the first person who has actually listened to us,” recalls Dan. “That was the deciding factor for them. Because people want to be heard, they want to feel like they are the priority.”
“Other builders might say, ‘This is our product, this is what you’re getting,’ rather than asking, ‘What do you want? What do you need? What’s your lifestyle?’ That’s what we do. We start from there, and we actually listen to what our clients say.”
Throughout the process, clients are also free to call Dan directly, and he will walk them through any questions or concerns. As a result, Stroud Homes Sunshine Coast tends to arrive at the end of the job with a satisfied customer who is happy to refer them to friends and family.
