Great Results For Coffs Harbour

Great Results For Coffs Harbour

Three HIA Awards for Coffs Harbour

In September, the dedicated team from Stroud Homes Coffs Harbour represented at the Housing Industry Association Awards for the Northern NSW division.

The team placed two beautiful homes up for judging and walked away with a cracking result of one win for their 2018 Northern NSW Display Home $350,001 – $400,000 and two runner-up positions in the Project Home Of the Year award and for the Display Home of The Year award.

Sales Assistant, Darby Zietsch fills us in on the evening and how important these successes are to the business, their trades and their clients.

Can you tell us about HIA Awards you attended recently?

The Housing Industry Association (HIA) Awards is the recognition of the high-quality work within the residential building industry that is undertaken by HIA members. There are various awards and categories throughout the night.

The night was amazing, we got to catch up with the teams from other Stroud Homes offices (Port Macquarie and Tamworth) as well as see a few familiar faces from sales reps through to other builders in the Mid North Coast region.

We took our whole team along with our amazing clients whose home was a finalist for the night (runner-up project home) – there were absolutely thrilled to be a part of it!

You must be proud of your Display Home which took out the win for Display Home between $350,001 – $400,000. What about your display home are you most proud of?

We love acreage builds and the Kentucky 260 is definitely one of the most popular acreage homes that we have, it was great to be able to showcase this design.

The 2.7m ceilings and the open planned living/dining/kitchen really works well with the light wall colour and timber look tiles.

You also entered and came runner-up in the Project Home of the Year Award in the Northern NSW HIA, can you tell me about that?

This home is a great design for a family which is exactly why the Deans’ family chose this Avoca 247 design with a mountain facade. The kitchen area has a particular ‘wow’ factor with two skylights installed over the island bench.

Why is it important for Stroud Homes Coffs Harbour to receive this kind of recognition?

We put a lot of time and effort into our builds but so do our subcontractors, without them it wouldn’t be possible.

It was so humbling as a new business to be recognised and for us to note the hard work our trades put in to make each home build a fun and enjoyable experience and have a quality-built home come handover.

Where will you put your new trophy and awards?

We have them placed behind the front desk! We also have provided a copy of the awards in a frame to both clients for them to have.

We’re so excited for the next 12 months and with more builds underway, we’re eager to more entries next year!

Congratulations on a great result! We can’t wait to see what next year will bring for the Stroud Homes Coffs Harbour team!
