Land Availability Builds Momentum For 2017
Last year started out relatively slow in Toowoomba, but by the second half of the year there was some momentum forming.
Greg Neville from Stroud Homes Toowoomba spoke about how land availability is making a big difference to the local building industry.
“In 2016 a fair bit more land became available up here – it has been an issue for quite a few years, the availability just has not been here, the developers had it on a shoe string to keep the prices high,” Greg says.
“We’ve got a few more developers in play here now, so we’ve got quite a bit of land around.”
While there are a lot more options now when it comes to house and land, the new availability hasn’t done much to affect the price of land in Toowoomba.
“Demand is still high because we’ve had such a long time with no availability – people still think it’s going to disappear.
“We’re hoping over the next couple of years the land prices at least won’t go up.”
While land is still highly priced, you can at least get value with the home you build.
One of the most popular aspects of the Stroud Homes packages that Greg has noticed is simply the quality of everything that’s included.
“I think that’s the biggest thing, they’re really surprised that it’s not all rubbish, the standard stuff.
“A lot of builders have standard inclusions, but they’re that rubbish that you’ve got to upgrade.”
Stroud Homes is proud to have a long list of quality standard inclusions that go into every home we build, so you know that your quote for a quality home, includes everything that goes into it, at a high standard.
If you’re looking to build in Toowoomba in 2017, Greg encourages you to do your research when you’re looking at quotes and builders’ past work.
“It’s all in the details, so do your homework! Our quality speaks for itself.”
