Looking Back, Looking Forward
The past year was absolutely huge for the Stroud Homes Northern Rivers team. We caught up with Nicky Lowson to see how things have been since their display home in Ballina opened its doors.
“The Display has been successful and continues to get great traffic – we’ve sold more Avoca homes than any other design to date!”
They’ve even built a home for a customer down the road from the display home, so they’re proud to say there are two Stroud homes on the one street.
The Norther Rivers team have met some wonderful customers throughout the year, with many builds to remember.
“We won several awards for the McCowatt’s home in Terranora, a customised Kentucky they were as proud of as we were.”
“We have a lovely family who moved from Sydney to Byron and did a knock down of an old house – we’re building a Montego for them.”
This Montego build sits on a ridge overlooking the valley across Byron to Broken Head, so the massive windows show off an amazing view.
“We’ve done a time lapse video from demolition to end, and will share that when it’s ready for everyone to see.”
While knockdown re-builds are always an option, there are plenty of estates opening up land around Tweed, Ballina, Lennox and Evans Head this year, which are likely to attract a lot of new building opportunities.
Talking about building trends for 2017, Nicky believes the Skillion facades will continue to be popular for the coastal region.
“The Wildflower skillion for example is such an attractive look for an already award winning floor plan.”
Stroud Homes is well known for its high-quality inclusions and Nicky has found that ladies love the huge 900 Oven that comes with all new homes.
“…also that if there’s an alfresco in the design it is NOT extra – it’s all part of the one slab which in itself is a great benefit, no unsightly gaps for weeds to grow.”
