Servicing Toowoomba and Beyond!

Servicing Toowoomba and Beyond!

Our Service Area

Although based in Highfields, just 15 minutes North of Toowoomba, the crew from Stroud Homes Toowoomba service the surrounding region.

They build homes down The Range to Hattonvale, inland to Dalby and down to Milmerran, south towards Warwick and Stanthorpe and north towards the Nanango and Kingaroy area.

Using the trades they know, respect and love there can be a travel fee but once you are presented with a stunning, new home built with a Top 5% quality guarantee, this cost is well worth it!

New Homes Sales Consultant Megan Thomas talks to us about the different areas they work in.

How is building on acreage different to building in town?

It’s more costly in terms of site costings as you will generally need a HSTP (Home Sewer Treatment Plant), Water Tanks and potentially electrical upgrades depending on the type of power available to site and how far away you are planning on having the building pad from the services.

Can you tell me about any acreage homes that you are currently working on?

We have quite a few upcoming! Some of the ones I am excited about include a full custom design down in Flagstone Creek on a beautiful secluded block, a ‘Montucky’ (modified Kentucky & Montego) in the Murphys Creek area on a challenging site with wonderful views.

We are also building a Wildflower with custom Granny Flat up the road from our Office and Display in Highfields.

Are there any extra costs for the client if a build is a while away from the Stroud Homes Toowoomba home base?

Yes, we do have a travel allowance to ensure we are paying our trades for travel which is a legal requirement.

It also offers our clients piece of mind that we know the trades we are working with and the trades know the standard finishes we expect.

That said, we will sometimes try to contract local tradies as we know many around the Darling Downs area and supporting local is always a nice thing to do.

Stroud Homes Toowoomba also build in many Estates, are there any rules that you must adhere to when building on one?

Yes, some will come with design guidelines or covenant restriction. It is up to you to work with your Build to ensure you are adhering to the rules.

Can you tell me about any Estates or House & Land Packages available outside of Toowoomba you have the moment?

There is so many you would be best off speaking to us directly if you had an area in mind! We are getting loads of enquiries for the Warwick and Stanthorpe area of late, which have some nice new estates.

Why do you think people should look at the region around Toowoomba when thinking about building a new home?

The location needs to fit their lifestyle so close to family, friends and work. I don’t want to be bias but I love the Highfields region.

I do get a lot of feedback that it is too far away from town but I believe it is well worth it with how amazing the community is!

There also seems to be a lot of protest regarding block sizes, however, there are many options available that you may not know about.

If you are looking to build in the Toowoomba region, give the team from Stroud Homes Toowoomba a call to discuss your new home.

If you are unsure if you’re home town is covered, give them a call on 07 4615 4925 and they’ll be able to point you in the right direction.
