Communication

Stroud Homes has systems in place where clients can communicate with all staff members at any one time. The sales team listens to clients’ needs and work with them to create their dream house design so the builders and site supervisors can bring that dream into reality.

Throughout the construction phase, a site supervisor is on hand for guided tours of the home and will update clients of the process made each week.

Coffs’ site supervisor Jake Gillfeather and owner and builder Yarren Henwood oversee all construction sites and are both contactable anytime to answer questions. Clients are also offered regular guided tours of the build site where they can discuss any questions face to face with the team.

Jake also contacts every client each Friday with a recap of all work achieved on their home that week and gives the clients insight into what will be achieved next on the build.

The Design Process

During the design stage of your home, Tim will conduct a free site inspection of the land and work with you to create an initial design concept which will be achievable within the budget.

From this stage, any major changes to the design are discussed and made so the build can be accurately quoted. If the clients approve of the quote and are happy to move forward, a preliminary agreement is created allowing the design to be drafted by our drafts person.

At the same time as drafting, the required reports from the land are ordered. These will cover soil test, contour test, septic design and the engineered slab design for the build.

Once Stroud receive all of these documents back, a meeting is arranged to discuss all reports and to go over the drafted plans. If any minor changes are required, they can be made at this point and the plans are submitted back to the drafts person for a final drafting.

The final drafted plans and site-specific reports are then submitted to council for DA approval and a fixed price contract can be offered to the clients.
