Stroud Homes Northern Rivers Grand Opening

Stroud Homes Northern Rivers Grand Opening

Matt Lowson opening Stroud Homes Tweed HeadsWith great weather perfect for ice-cream, mechanical surfing and prizes, Saturday saw the grand opening for the Stroud Homes Northern Rivers shop front.

Matt and Nicky Lowson put on a wonderful event for the whole family, showcasing the great Stroud home designs on offer and answering all kinds of building questions, all while children enjoyed ice-cream and taking turns on an exciting mechanical surfboard.

There was a major prize draw of $10,000 to go towards your new home, which was taken out by a young couple that had just started their build with Stroud Homes.

Major prize winnersThose thinking of building their first home were able to ask questions and voice their concerns with building rather than buying an existing home.

Matt found the biggest fear out there is the myth of the “big bad builder” where people have heard the horror stories from people that have had a bad experience.

“Obviously a home is the biggest investment 90% of people will ever make in their life, and if it goes bad it causes extreme emotional distress for them,” Matt says.

He was able to assure the people he spoke to that this is what Stroud Homes works very hard on, working closely with you and making sure your experience is a good one.

“The Kentucky is always a very popular on, the acreage property has immense appeal in the mountain façade, and the Wildflower 256 seems to draw a lot of attention in coastal areas,” Matt said.

In fact, the coastal areas seem to be amongst the most popular for new builds these days, with many of Matt’s enquiries coming from Sydney people wanting to move to Ballina.

“Ballina’s got great appeal as it has everything there; beaches, a harbour, it has an airport, several big shopping centres, plenty of schools, retirement villages, plenty of everything,” Matt said.

“It has plenty of land there too which is good, so we’re really looking forward to putting plenty of houses in down in Ballina.”

It’s a testament to what Matt can do for your new home, being able to create something wonderful from just about anything.

“When I designed it and when we built it, I specifically didn’t put anything in there that wouldn’t be part of the standard inclusions in our homes; the handle on the front door is the handle you get, the tiles are the tiles you get…”
