Two Wins at Master Builder Awards!
The team from Stroud Homes Fraser Coast and Stroud Homes Bundaberg have walked away from the Wide Bay Burnett Master Builder Awards a successful bunch taking out the Display Home of the Year Award for the $251,000 and $350,000 price category.
Also on the night, owner Aletha Walters was awarded the prestigious Women In Building Award for her stand out contribution to the local building and construction industry.
“It was a great night! We took our whole team, and it was a great opportunity to see so many people in the industry come together and celebrate a good year,” Aletha tells us.
Coming from a background in Commerce, Aletha realised in order for Slade to become the successful builder he wanted to be, she would also need to make the building industry her own.
“My biggest driving factor to succeed is my four children and particularly my two daughters whom I want to inspire to do anything they decide to do in life regardless of gender specific roles,” Aletha says.
“Without a doubt the construction industry is one of the most stressful yet rewarding careers any person can embark upon. Part of my success is indeed being married to a man who has always encouraged and supported my goals yet always treating me as his equal and partner at all times.”
The success of this partnership is clear to see as they take out their second win for Display Home of the Year Award.
“We were really excited to win Best Display home two years in a row,” says Aletha. Last year the team took out the win for the price category below for their Wildflower 190.
This year the team feel pleased to be recognised for the quality they offer. “Our Display Homes are not upspecced and it just shows that the quality of what we offer far outweighs the smoke and mirrors that many builders bring to the industry,” Aletha explains.
The Avoca 247 is a fantastic family friendly home built with everything an owner could need. “We love our Display Homes because what you see Is what you get and clients can easily see the inclusions that we offer,”
Aletha says that potential clients walking through the home love the feel, the open layout and the amazing outdoor space.
Walking away with two wins from this year’s award night not only fuels the team and bulks up the trophy cabinet, it is also important to be recognised by peers and the public.
Aletha says, “It’s important for our clients to understand the caliber of what we are offering. Our homes are consistently winning year after year. This is because we offer a quality home.”
After their wins, the team will move forward through to State judging. “After winning best display home in the state for last years category – doing it two years in a row would be amazing!”
We’d like to wish Aletha, Slade and all of the team the very best of luck!
