What’s Trending for Stroud Homes Sunshine Coast?
Home building trends and interiors are ever changing and Stroud Homes, as a quality new home builder, offers clients a wide selection of everything from façades right down to mailboxes.
On the Sunshine Coast, the coastal look and vibe has been very popular this year, and especially in beach suburbs like Caloundra and Coolum Beach.
Barry Farquhar from Stroud Homes Sunshine Coast discusses some of the biggest trends of 2019.
We are finding that the most popular façade on the Sunshine Coast at the present stage is the Hamptons Façade.
We have seen a massive climb of interest in the Hamptons look in recent months. There is still a decent share of those who like the signature Stroud Homes Alpine & Mountain façades but the Hamptons trend is proving to be fierce competition!
The Hamptons facade is new to the selection this year and brings a touch of Long Island country charm to your home. The façade is defined by casual, relaxed beach style living but done in a classic and very sophisticated way.
This is a readily accepted look with all estate covenant guidelines so it is ticking all the boxes.
Fly screens are definitely a must on the Sunshine Coast which is why we include them as standard to all opening windows and sliding doors in both our Fully Loaded Inclusions and Super Six range of inclusions.
Ceiling fans are another standard Fully Loaded inclusion which are a must for the Queensland humidity to maintain blissful airflow in your home. Air-conditioning is a very popular addition also – particularly with those planning their builds throughout the summer months!
However, there are still probably more than half of our clients who don’t mind having a split system or two in their most used areas over a fully ducted system.
This is not something clients usually think of straight away however the benefits of energy efficiency, external noise reduction and that extra layer of insulation from the elements is a must have to create ultimate living comfort.
The most popular design is still the Wildflower due to its open plan living and lack of hallways – hallways can sometimes be a bit of a wasted space and create a feeling of a rabbit warren!
Every client that walks through our Wildflower 190 display home in Peregian Springs is amazed by how much functionality you can fit into 190m2.
The flow and connectedness of living, kitchen, dining, and alfresco and the separation of the front three bedrooms with a child’s retreat from the rest makes this design stand out.
Our Montego is still the highest-ranking acreage design in our collection, particularly the skillion façade – it’s aesthetic beauty and open plan living just oozes the tranquillity desired by those wanting that little more space that living on land offers.
Our highest percentage of clients would probably be young families, however there is also a pretty high percentage of retirees.
We love working with people from all walks of life and especially with those who can appreciate our upfront and honest approach, which benefits them and the building process immensely.
We are proud to be a transparent business with great customer satisfaction and this is achieved not only through our streamlined and efficient process of building a new home, but also in our black and white quotes.
We don’t promise ridiculously low pricing to get people through the door only to sting customers with add-ons and price increases throughout the build process.
We think that this way of treating clients is against our company mission and values and is detrimental to the whole building industry.
In the same breath we are also aware that competition is tough! It’s all a matter of balance and we believe at the end of the day, integrity is key.
