Which Flooring Should I Choose?
Choosing the appropriate types of flooring to use in your new home is more important than you might think. Stroud Home’s Bryan Canavan breaks down your options and give you some insight into the practical benefits of different types of flooring.
Sheet vinyl is ideal for the kitchen, laundry, rumpus room or anywhere a heard wearing, attractive and easily maintained floor is required. The vinyl range is limitless, from plains, slate look to modern timber look.
Planking comes in a range of different wood colours. The planking is easy to maintain and looks great and because it’s a vinyl product you don’t have the noise factor that you would normally get from a wooden floor. Lengths are usually 900mm x 152mm.
If you like the great look of timber flooring, but don’t want the expense of a solid timber floor, then floating timber floors are a great option. This type of flooring typically has 3-4mm timber face on an MDF base.
Hardwood timber floors with unique colours and grains can create a stunning feature in your home bringing warmth and timely elegance. This product has excellent hardness as well as strength and stability.
