Why choose to Build with Stroud Homes Cardinia
There is a myriad of things to consider when making the decision to start building your dream home.
Choosing a builder is one of the biggest decisions in the home-building process, as they are responsible for creating the house you and your family will hopefully live in for years to come.
Essentially, if you’re in the market for a new house, you should shop for your builder as carefully as you shop for your home.
We talk to Stroud Homes Cardinia builder Andrew Barraclough about why anyone should choose to build with their team.
“At Stroud Homes Cardinia, not only are we approachable and extremely easy to talk to, but you will also find that our friendly staff are more than happy to help with any questions or inquiries you may have,” says Andrew.
“Also, most of our standard inclusions are generally an upgrade compared to other home builders and we believe this sets us apart from the rest.”
Stroud Homes has over 80 standard inclusions throughout the entire range. When it comes to upgrades, you have a choice of two; the Premium Upgrade or the Hamptons Upgrade, which is available on selected designs only.
A common concern when building an entire new home is the building time. Many clients are forced to move in with family during this period, or end up paying for expensive accommodation elsewhere.
At Stroud Homes, Andrew tells us, you can trust that your home is going to be completed within a reasonable time-frame, and stand the test of time, thanks to their reliable warranties.
“At Stroud Homes we pride ourselves with our 20-week build time guarantee on a standard single-storey home under 300m2. If we do not complete the build within the 20-week time frame, Stroud Homes will pay you $350 a week until you receive your keys to your new home,” explains Andrew.
Stroud Homes offer a 7-year structural warranty, as well as a 25-year warranty on Timber frames. They also offer a 12-month warranty period on non-structural items, at minimum.
However, for customers’ peace of mind under stressful building periods, a lot of Stroud Homes warranty periods are far longer than the minimum.
To ensure your home build is trekking along as planned, you will be introduced to one of Stroud Homes Cardinia’s resident building supervisors, who will be looking after the building of your new home with you.
“The supevisor will be available to speak with you from 6am in the morning until 6pm in the evening, and is happy to answer any and all questions you have,” says Andrew. “You can also speak with our contract administrator and she will be more that happy to also help with any questions you may have.”
Stroud Homes Cardinia also encourage all clients to attend their new build at every claim stage to see the progress that is being made, but also to become part of the journey towards the completion of your new home.
During the construction phase of your build there will be ample opportunity to make changes. The only aspects you will need to consider is if you decide to change a structural element, such as a wall, which will require to be re-engineered and cost accordingly. Making changes to your plan might also result in prolonging the building time.
Andrew says cosmetic changes or upgrades during the building process are very simple and can be done leading up to fixing stage. If you are wanting to make changes to your original plan, you can request to meet with Stroud Homes Cardinia’s drafts person in store to mark up your plans.
“During our journey together we will go through different stages that will give us a better understanding of not only your needs and wants, but also the final product that will determine the cost of your home prior to the signing of contracts,” says Andrew.
“With years of experience we can bring your changes to life.”
